UPDATE: Learn about the virtual options that MMCD is offering for schools and parents!

Metropolitan Mosquito Control District offers fun, educational presentations to schools in the seven county metro area. These presentations are free and great for students from mid-elementary school all the way up through high school. Presentations usually last about 45-minutes, but they can be customized to fit your schedule. Students will learn about:

  • mosquito biology and anatomy
  • different mosquito species in Minnesota and around the world
  • mosquito-borne diseases
  • how and why we study mosquitoes
  • what we do to control them

Presentations can be customized to emphasize certain aspects that fit with your curriculum or lesson plan. We also offer worksheets and quizzes to go along with certain presentations that can be reviewed by you in advance.
